# 1. Project Overview

This chapter introduces Cryptic as a cryptographic identity, post-quantum secure communication, and crypto-native payments platform built across **SDK, Desktop, and Mobile** infrastructure.

Cryptic is designed to reduce fragmentation across communication, wallet, payment, DeFi, storage, and identity tools by bringing secure communication and financial coordination into one integrated product stack.

At the foundation, Cryptic accounts are built around cryptographic keys that can support secure communication, encrypted data transfer, wallet functionality, payment coordination, and future agentic workflows.

#### The platform is built around three core layers:

**Cryptic Mobile** — the consumer application for private communication, wallet functionality, payments, card access, and everyday crypto-native use.

**Cryptic Desktop** — the power-user surface for secure communication, wallet actions, swaps, lending, storage, encrypted notes, confidential AI workflows, and ecosystem integrations.

**Cryptic SDK** — the protocol and developer infrastructure layer for post-quantum secure communication, encrypted data transfer, cryptographic identity, and future agent-based systems.

Together, these layers create a foundation for secure coordination, digital payments, private communication, encrypted data transfer, crypto-native workflows, and future human-to-agent and agent-to-agent coordination in the post-quantum era.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://cryptic-documentation.gitbook.io/cryptic-documentation/project/1.-project-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
